This model-specific kit is allocated 50x stainless steel replacement bolts for the listed original external covers and sump casing on the Triumph Speedmaster 865 EFI 2015–2016. The engine cover bolts are grouped by original Triumph reference, quantity and diagram item.

The shared 5x cover group is one combined allocation across the clutch and sprocket covers, not 5x bolts per cover. Other rows are separate allocations even where they share an original reference. The original references identify Triumph components; supplied hardware is aftermarket and is not genuine Triumph-branded stock.
Model-specific Speedmaster 865 engine cover fixings
Keep the clutch cover bolts, right-hand alternator cover bolts, gearchange mechanism cover fixings, sprocket cover bolts and sump casing bolts organised by their original locations. Gearchange mechanism cover fixings are distinct from the gear-lever clamp bolt. This kit does not replace structural bolts joining the crankcase halves.
When comparing engine casing bolt kits, check the original mounting areas, quantities and reference numbers. Read our guide to generic and model-specific motorcycle bolt kits and browse the Triumph Speedmaster 865 EFI 2015–2016 fastener range.
Important fitment notes
- Compatibility: Triumph Speedmaster 865 EFI 2015–2016 with the matching original air-cooled engine-cover arrangement. This is not a kit for the Speedmaster 790, carburettor 865 or liquid-cooled Bonneville Speedmaster 1200.
- Check the original components: Confirm the exact model, variant and original cover arrangement. Registration year alone does not establish fitment. Protective covers, aftermarket case savers or altered brackets may require different hardware.
- Engine-number checks: The late references include T3205076 from engine 460575 for the clutch cover and 470731 for the sprocket cover; T3205070/T3205072 clutch references from 460557; T3205073 right-hand cover reference from 460587; T3205066 gearchange reference from 460577; and T3205072 gearchange-cover reference from 459369. Confirm the matching original references and cover arrangement before ordering.
- Materials and head appearance: The replacement bolts are stainless steel. Head appearance may differ from the original fixings. Stainless material alone does not establish equivalent mechanical strength.
- Hardware photographs: Generic bolt photographs illustrate the supplied hardware style; use the contents table for the kit allocation.
- Exclusions: Covers, cam-cover fixings, gaskets, seals, dowels, oil drain plugs and their washers, structural crankcase-half bolts, engine mountings, internal sound-pad screws, wire-retainer screws, oil-cooler mountings, cable-bracket-only fixings, gear-lever clamp bolts and other internal engine or sump fixings are not included.
When should you replace engine casing bolts?
- Corroded or damaged heads: Inspect the fixing before attempting removal or cover servicing.
- Damaged threads or missing bolts: Check both the bolt and casing threads before selecting replacement hardware.
- Cover maintenance: Keep each fixing group identified during dismantling and reassembly.
Replacement bolts cannot repair cracked covers, stripped threads or damaged sealing faces. Identify the cause of any looseness or leakage before reassembly.
Fitting information
- Preparation: Support the motorcycle securely, allow it to cool and follow Triumph’s workshop procedure for the exact cover being serviced.
- Correct positions: Match each fixing to its original location, check the under-head length and head clearance, start it by hand and do not pull a misaligned cover into place with a bolt.
- Gaskets and seals: Renew disturbed sealing components where required. Gaskets, seals and sealing washers are not supplied.
- Tightening and suitability: Follow the required fastener specification, tightening order, torque and thread condition for each group.
- Anti-seize: Use fitting compounds only where permitted. Anti-seize changes friction and the torque-to-clamping-force relationship; the included pack is not an instruction to lubricate every fixing.
- Final checks: Restore specified oil levels where disturbed and inspect for leaks. Have uncertain work completed or checked by a qualified motorcycle technician before riding.
Read our guide to fitting stainless steel motorcycle bolts and motorcycle bolt strength grades guide. Triumph’s workshop procedure takes precedence.
Customer questions
How many bolts are allocated to this kit?
50x bolts for the original positions listed above, including 11x sump casing bolts, plus 1x Biker Bling anti-seize compound pack (7 g).
Does the 5x group mean 5x bolts for each cover?
No. It is one shared group across the listed clutch and sprocket cover positions. Do not multiply that quantity by the number of covers. Keep the original positions identified during fitting.
Are internal sump bolts and oil drain plugs included?
No. Only the external sump casing bolt group is included. Internal fixings, oil drain plugs and their sealing washers are excluded.
Does this kit fit the Bonneville Speedmaster 1200?
No. The 1200 uses a different cover and fixing arrangement and has separate listings.
