The bolts are selected for the listed RR engine-cover positions, with separate allocations for each cover. Keep the groups separated during fitting and match each replacement to its original location rather than treating all 64x bolts as interchangeable.

Materials and appearance: The replacement bolts are stainless steel. Their appearance may differ from the original Triumph hardware. Stainless steel describes the material; it does not by itself establish equivalent mechanical strength.

When should you replace engine casing bolts?

• Damaged heads or threads: Inspect worn fixings and the cover-mounting threads before choosing replacements.
• Missing hardware: Identify the correct fixing for the original position rather than substituting an unrelated bolt.
• Cover servicing: Check the bolts, sealing faces and supporting components whenever a cover is removed.

Replacement bolts cannot repair cracked casings, stripped threads or distorted covers. Find the cause of looseness or leakage before reassembly.

Fitting information

• Preparation: Work on a securely supported, cool motorcycle and follow Triumph’s workshop procedure for each cover.
• Correct positions: Match the bolt groups to the listed covers and start the correct fixings by hand. Do not use bolts to pull a misaligned cover into place.
• Sealing arrangements: Preserve the required locating and sealing arrangements. Renew disturbed gaskets or seals where Triumph specifies.
• Tightening and thread condition: Follow the specified tightening order, torque and thread condition. The included anti-seize pack is not an instruction to lubricate every fixing.
• Fluid and operation checks: Follow the required draining, refilling and leak-check procedures for any disturbed fluid-containing cover. Have uncertain engine work completed or checked by a qualified motorcycle technician.

Are locating dowels, gaskets or the drain plug included?

No. The kit contains the listed replacement bolts and anti-seize pack. Dowels, gaskets, seals and drain plugs are not supplied.
