- Check the exact motorcycle and original assembly. Aftermarket or modified components may require different hardware.
- Fuel cap, lock, keys, seals, retaining assembly, fuel tank and tank-to-frame mounting bolts are not included.
Model-specific aftermarket replacements
Biker Bling selects replacement fasteners for the listed original mounting positions. The Triumph references identify the original components replaced, not Biker Bling product codes. These are aftermarket parts, not genuine Triumph-branded components.
Materials and appearance: The supplied bolts are stainless steel. Their head appearance may differ from the originals. Stainless material alone does not establish equivalent mechanical strength.
Photographs illustrate the hardware style and may be generic. The contents table defines the supplied quantities; pictured assemblies are not included.
When should you replace these fixings?
- Corroded or marked heads: Inspect the bolts when the cap assembly is removed.
- Damaged drive recesses or threads: Renew worn hardware and check the original mounting threads.
- Fuel-cap servicing: Keep the three bolt groups separated by their original positions.
New bolts cannot repair a damaged lock, leaking cap seal, distorted filler assembly or stripped mounting thread.
Fitting information
Work in a ventilated area away from ignition sources and keep dirt and fitting compounds out of the tank. Match each bolt group to its original position. Follow Triumph’s procedure for cap alignment, retaining supporting parts, thread condition and tightening. Start the correct bolts by hand and do not force a binding fixing. Use anti-seize only where appropriate. Check the cap opens, closes, locks and seals correctly before use; investigate fuel leaks before riding.
For general guidance, read our stainless steel motorcycle bolt fitting guide. Triumph’s workshop procedure takes precedence.
