Model-specific replacement bolts
Biker Bling selects the replacement bolts for the original mounting positions listed above. Honda references identify the original hardware being replaced, not Biker Bling product codes. These are aftermarket replacements, not genuine Honda-branded components.
Important fitment notes
- For Honda CB500F model years 2016, 2017 and 2018 with the original assemblies described above.
- The left alternator-cover group supplies 11 bolts against reference 90003-MGZ-J00. This allocation is for the earlier cover arrangement.
- Locating dowels, drain plugs, sealing washers, gaskets, O-rings, covers, housings and pumps are not supplied.
- This is not a complete engine assembly or internal engine rebuild bolt kit. It includes only the fixing positions in the table.
- Check modified or replacement components against their required fastener specification.
- Photographs illustrate the supplied bolt style; use the contents table for pack quantities.
Materials
The replacement bolts are stainless steel. Their head appearance may differ from Honda’s original bolts. Material alone does not establish the required mechanical strength for every application; use each bolt only at its intended location.
When should you replace engine casing bolts?
- Corroded or marked heads: Inspect the bolts when carrying out cover maintenance.
- Damaged threads or drive recesses: Check the bolt and mating threads before refitting.
- Missing hardware: Restore the correct fixing arrangement before use.
New bolts cannot repair damaged casing threads, distorted covers or leaking seals.
Fitting information
Keep each bolt matched to its intended location. Follow Honda’s exact cover and pump procedures, including gasket or seal replacement, alignment, tightening order, torque and thread condition. Start bolts by hand and do not use them to pull a misaligned cover into place. Use anti-seize or other compounds only where appropriate to the specified procedure. Check disturbed assemblies for leaks and correct operation before riding; have uncertain engine or pump work checked by a qualified motorcycle technician.
For general background, read our guide to protecting aluminium mounting threads. Honda’s workshop instructions take precedence.
Customer questions
Does this kit include locating dowels or drain plugs?
No. It supplies the 51 bolts listed above and one anti-seize pack. Dowels and drain plugs are not included.
Are the water-pump and sump bolts included?
Yes. It includes five coolant water-pump bolts, thirteen sump bolts and four oil-pump mounting bolts, allocated as shown in the table.
