When should you replace these fixings?

Inspect hanger bolts when removing the rider or pillion brackets. Renew missing or damaged fixings, and inspect bracket faces and frame threads. New bolts cannot repair a cracked hanger or stripped mounting.

Fitting information

These brackets support the rider and passenger. Use the specified fastener and follow Honda’s bracket positioning, thread condition and tightening instructions. Do not pull a misaligned bracket into place with a bolt. Use compounds only where specified. Have damaged or uncertain mountings inspected before riding.
