Model-specific engine cover fixings
This kit covers the external casing positions listed above. Keep the clutch cover bolts, alternator cover bolts, sprocket cover bolts and sump casing bolts organised by location when fitting. Similar engine capacity or matching thread diameter alone does not establish the correct replacement for another model.

Important fitment notes
- Model coverage: Triumph Tiger 800 XRT 2018–2019; UK/European-market VIN group 855532 onwards. Check the motorcycle identification and original cover arrangement before ordering.
- Aftermarket covers: Replacement covers, guards or altered mounting arrangements may require different fasteners.
- Materials: The bolts are stainless steel. Material alone does not establish equivalence to the mechanical strength of every original fixing. Hardware photographs may be generic.
- Not included: Covers, gaskets, seals, locating dowels, drain plugs, drain bolts, cam-cover bolts, crankcase-half joining bolts, breather-cover bolts, coolant-return elbow bolts, internal pump fixings, decorative badge/protector fixings and cable-bracket bolts.
Bolt count: The bolt total excludes the separately supplied anti-seize pack and any separately listed sealing washers.
When should you replace engine cover bolts?
- Corroded or damaged heads: Inspect the cover fixings before removal or servicing.
- Damaged threads or rounded drive recesses: Replace unsuitable bolts and inspect the corresponding casing threads.
- Cover servicing: Check each fixing and its intended location whenever a cover is removed.
Fitting information
After assembly: Check the relevant oil or coolant levels and inspect disturbed covers for leaks, following Triumph’s workshop procedure for the work carried out.
- Match each position: Follow Triumph’s workshop procedure for the exact model. Keep original fixing positions organised and start replacements by hand. Do not pull a misaligned cover into place with a bolt.
- Sealing: Follow the specified gasket, seal and fluid procedure whenever a cover is disturbed. New bolts cannot repair damaged threads, distorted covers or sealing faces.
- Torque and thread condition: Use the specified tightening sequence and torque. Some original bolts have factory-applied thread treatment; confirm the appropriate installation condition for the replacement. Use anti-seize only where specified or appropriate for that fixing, rather than on every bolt.
- Final checks: Confirm secure assembly and check for leaks. Have uncertain work completed or inspected by a qualified motorcycle technician.
