Brake, clutch and switchgear fixing kit for Honda CBR600RR
Renewing the fixings around the handlebar controls? This kit covers the original front brake master-cylinder holder, clutch-lever bracket and left and right switchgear housings on the Honda CBR600RR 2003–2006 (also called CBR 600 RR). The fasteners serve different mounting points, rather than being seven interchangeable screws.
What you receive
- 2x A2 (304) stainless steel bolts for the front brake master-cylinder handlebar holder.
- 1x A2 (304) stainless steel bolt for the clutch-lever mounting bracket.
- 4x A2 (304) stainless steel screws for the left and right switchgear housings.
That is seven fasteners in total. The kit does not include the controls, lever pivot bolts, hydraulic or banjo bolts, or the clip-on-to-fork clamp bolts. Gallery photographs are illustrative; the list above gives the supplied quantities and positions.
Original Honda part numbers this kit replaces
These Honda numbers identify the original hardware at the positions covered by this kit. Some switchgear references vary between the earlier and later model years:
- 90101-MBZ-G00 – original front brake master-cylinder holder bolt (2 used).
- 96001-06020-07 – original clutch-lever bracket bolt (1 used).
- 93892-05035-07 – original switchgear housing screw (1 used).
- 93892-05045-07 – original switchgear housing screw (1 used).
- 93982-05020-07 and 93982-05025-07 – the two remaining switchgear screws listed in Honda’s 2003–2004 catalogue (1 of each).
- 93892-05020-07 and 93892-05025-07 – references for those corresponding screw positions in the checked 2005–2006 parts diagrams (1 of each).
The last two bullets describe year-specific alternatives, not four additional screws. This is still a seven-fastener kit. The numbers are references for original Honda parts, not Biker Bling SKUs or proof of an official part-number supersession.
Model-specific OEM replacements: Biker Bling selects the replacement bolts and screws for these original control mounting points, with the relevant fitting dimensions matched to their intended positions. They are aftermarket parts, not genuine Honda hardware.
Head style and materials: All seven supplied fasteners are described as A2 (304) stainless steel. Their head appearance may differ from the original Honda screws. Because the mounting points have different jobs, use each fastener only in its intended position; stainless material alone is not proof of mechanical strength equivalence.
When should you replace these control fixings?
Common reasons to inspect or renew them include:
- Rounded screw heads: Worn recesses can make removing a switch housing or control clamp awkward.
- Corrosion or damaged threads: A damaged fastener may not seat or tighten correctly when controls are refitted.
- Loose or poorly seated controls: Check the clamp, housing, locating features and threads before assuming that new bolts will fix the problem.
Replacing fasteners cannot repair a cracked switch housing, damaged control bracket or stripped thread.
Fitting the brake, clutch and switchgear controls
Follow the Honda workshop instructions for each separate mounting position, including the correct fastener specification, alignment, tightening order and torque. Seat the housings carefully, keep wiring clear and do not force parts together. Our guide to protecting aluminium mounting threads offers general thread-care advice; it does not replace the workshop procedure.
Before riding, confirm correct brake and clutch lever operation, throttle return, switch functions and cable clearance throughout steering movement. If a control cannot be secured or operated properly, have it checked by a qualified motorcycle technician.
