Clip-on handlebar clamp bolts for Honda CBR600RR
This pair replaces the bolts securing the original left and right clip-on handlebars around the fork stanchions on the Honda CBR600RR 2003–2006 (CBR 600 RR). There is one fixing at each original clip-on clamp. These are not the top or bottom fork-yoke pinch bolts, switchgear bolts or fixings for aftermarket clip-ons.
What you receive
- 2x A2 (304) stainless steel clip-on handlebar clamp bolts – one for the left side and one for the right.
- 1x Biker Bling anti-seize compound pack (7 g).
This is a two-bolt pack. Handlebars and clamp assemblies are not included. The gallery images are illustrative and may show more bolts than are supplied.
Original Honda fixing references
| Fitting position / component | Supplied quantity | Original Honda fixing reference |
|---|---|---|
| Left and right clip-on handlebar-to-fork clamps | 2x | 2003–2004: 96300-08040-07; 2005–2006: 90140-MEE-D00 |
These numbers identify the original Honda fixing positions, not Biker Bling product codes. The supplied kit contains aftermarket replacements, not genuine Honda parts. Year-specific references describe alternatives for their stated years, not additional supplied parts.
Model-specific OEM replacements: The supplied pair is selected for the original CBR600RR clip-on clamp positions, with the relevant fitting dimensions matched to those locations. These are aftermarket replacements, not genuine Honda bolts, and should not be used to replace other steering fixings.
Head style and materials: The bolts are A2 (304) stainless steel and their heads may look different from Honda’s originals. Stainless steel describes the material; it does not, by itself, confirm equivalent mechanical strength for a steering component.
When should you replace your clip-on clamp bolts?
These fixings deserve a closer look when:
- The heads are corroded or rounded: Worn drive recesses can make proper removal and refitting difficult.
- The threads are damaged: A bolt that cannot engage and tighten correctly should not be reused.
- A handlebar feels loose: Inspect the clamp, fork surface and fastener together. A replacement bolt will not repair a cracked or incorrectly seated clamp.
Fitting the clip-on handlebars
Handlebar security is steering-critical. Check the required fastener specification, position the clamps correctly and follow the Honda workshop instructions for tightening. Do not guess a torque setting or assume that all stainless steel bolts have the same strength as the original hardware. Our motorcycle bolt strength grades guide explains this distinction.
After fitting, turn the steering fully in both directions and check that the throttle returns properly and that cables, hoses and controls do not snag or become strained. Do not ride with a loose handlebar or damaged clamp; seek a qualified motorcycle technician’s advice if the mounting or replacement specification is uncertain.
Customer questions
Are the top-yoke bolts included?
No. This kit covers the listed handlebar clamp positions. Yoke pinch bolts are separate.
Where should I use the anti-seize compound?
Use it only where the relevant motorcycle or component instructions specify a suitable thread treatment. Inclusion of the pack is not an instruction to lubricate every fixing.
