Footrest hanger bolt kit for Honda CBR600RR

These replacement bolts are for the original rider and pillion footrest hanger brackets on the Honda CBR600RR 2003–2006 (also written as CBR 600 RR). The kit includes rider and pillion hanger bolts, front heel-plate screws and rear brake master-cylinder mounting bolts. It is not a kit for the footpeg pivots, exhaust mounts or aftermarket rearsets.

What you receive

• 8x A2 (304) stainless steel bolts for the original front rider and rear pillion footrest hanger bracket-to-frame mounting points.
• 2x A2 (304) stainless steel screws for the heel plates attached to the front footrest assemblies.
• 2x A2 (304) stainless steel bolts for the rear brake master-cylinder mounting points at the footrest bracket.
• 1x Biker Bling anti-seize compound pack (7 g)

The kit contains 12 replacement fixings and one 7 g anti-seize sachet. The footrests, hangers, heel plates, rear brake master cylinder and other motorcycle components are not included. Existing gallery photographs are illustrative, so use the contents list above for the supplied quantity.

Original Honda part numbers this kit replaces

Honda’s parts diagrams identify different original fixings for the hanger, heel-plate and rear brake master-cylinder mounting positions:

• 90157-ME9-000 – original Honda footrest hanger mounting bolt (8 used across the motorcycle).
• 90118-MR1-000 – original Honda 6 x 14 mm heel-plate/step-guard fixing screw (2 used across the motorcycle).
• 96600-06020-00 – original Honda 6 x 20 mm rear brake master-cylinder mounting bolt (2 used across the motorcycle).

Model-specific OEM replacements: Biker Bling selects these bolts for the original CBR600RR 2003–2006 footrest hanger, heel-plate and rear brake master-cylinder positions, with the relevant fitting dimensions matched to those locations. They are aftermarket replacement parts, not genuine Honda bolts. The number above identifies the original Honda component, not a Biker Bling part number.

Head style and materials: The supplied bolts are A2 (304) stainless steel. Their heads may look different from Honda’s original bolts; the material description alone does not establish the required mechanical strength for every fixing application.

When should you replace your footrest hanger bolts?

There are several reasons you might want to renew these fixings:

• Corroded or damaged heads: Corrosion or a marked bolt head can make routine footrest maintenance harder.
• Worn drive recesses or threads: A rounded recess or damaged thread may prevent the bolt from being removed or tightened correctly.
• Missing hardware: If a fixing has been lost during removal or previous repairs, it needs to be replaced with the correct specification before use.

If a hanger feels loose, inspect the bracket, mounting faces and frame threads as well. New bolts cannot repair a cracked hanger or stripped mounting thread.

Fitting the footrest hangers

These brackets support the rider and passenger, so use the correct fastener specification and follow Honda’s workshop instructions for bracket positioning and tightening torque. Make sure the mounting faces line up properly rather than using a bolt to pull a misaligned bracket into place.

For general advice, see our guide to protecting aluminium mounting threads. The Honda workshop procedure takes precedence. If the bracket, threads or replacement specification is in doubt, have a qualified motorcycle technician inspect the mounting before riding.
