The handlebars, fork legs and yokes are not included.
Original Aprilia part number this kit replaces
- AP8152289 – original steering-yoke pinch bolt, 6 used in the fiche.
The same reference and total quantity are shown in the 2001–2003 and 2004–2007 steering diagrams.
Model-specific aftermarket replacements: These bolts are selected for the original upper and lower yoke clamp positions on this Caponord. They are aftermarket replacements, not genuine Aprilia parts.
Head style and material: The supplied bolts are stainless steel. Their appearance may differ from the original hardware; keep each bolt in its intended clamping position.
When should you replace yoke pinch bolts?
- Corroded or rounded heads: Damaged drive recesses can make the bolts difficult to remove or refit correctly.
- Damaged threads or missing bolts: A complete set is needed to secure the fork legs as designed.
- During fork or steering service: Inspect the bolts and clamping surfaces whenever the fork legs are removed or repositioned.
Replacement bolts cannot repair damaged yoke threads, cracked components or fork legs that do not seat correctly.
Fitting the yoke pinch bolts
These fasteners secure the fork legs in the steering yokes. Follow Aprilia’s workshop procedure for fork position, tightening sequence and torque. Start each bolt by hand, seat the fork legs correctly and do not use a bolt to pull misaligned parts together. Before riding, check the steering moves freely and the front controls and wheel are correctly aligned. If a clamp, thread or replacement specification is in doubt, have the assembly checked before use.
