Chain adjuster bolts for the Aprilia ETV1000 Caponord
This kit replaces the pair of adjuster screws and their lock nuts used to set the rear drive chain on the Aprilia ETV1000 Caponord (2001–2007). The screws move the rear wheel during chain adjustment; they are not the rear axle or sprocket bolts.
What you receive
- 2x stainless steel chain-adjuster bolts.
- 2x flange nuts for the adjuster bolts.
The rear wheel and chain are not included.
Original Aprilia part numbers this kit replaces
- AP8152305 – chain tensioner adjuster screw, 2 used in the swing-arm fiche.
- 2B004511 – flange self-locking nut, 2 used; Fowlers shows it replacing AP8150334.
Fowlers lists the same references and quantities in the 2001–2003 and 2004–2007 swing-arm diagrams.
Model-specific aftermarket replacements: The screws and nuts are selected for the Caponord’s original chain-adjuster positions. They are aftermarket components, not genuine Aprilia parts.
Head style and material: The adjuster bolts are stainless steel. Use the supplied bolts and nuts only in their intended positions.
When should you replace chain adjuster bolts?
- Corrosion or rounded heads: Worn adjusters can be difficult to turn accurately during chain service.
- Damaged threads or missing nuts: Replace damaged hardware before setting chain slack.
- During chain maintenance: Inspect the adjusters and swing-arm slots when checking tension or replacing the chain.
New adjusters cannot repair damaged swing-arm threads, bent adjuster plates or worn axle slots.
Fitting and adjusting the chain
Make adjustments in line with Aprilia’s workshop procedure. Move both sides evenly, use the manufacturer’s chain-slack check and confirm rear-wheel alignment before securing the axle. Follow the specified tightening instructions; do not use a generic torque value. If the adjuster or swing-arm mounting is damaged, have it checked before riding.
