Important fitment notes
- For Honda CB500F model years 2019, 2020 and 2021 with the original rear wheel chain adjustment arrangement.
- Check the existing adjusters and swingarm threads before fitting. Aftermarket swingarms or modified adjustment systems may require different hardware.
- The rear axle, axle nut, adjuster plates, swingarm, chain, sprockets and chain-guard fixings are not included.
- Product photographs illustrate the supplied hardware style; the contents table defines the kit quantities.
Model-specific aftermarket replacements
Biker Bling selects these stainless steel bolts and nuts for the original rear wheel chain adjustment positions. The Honda references identify the original components replaced, not Biker Bling product codes. These are aftermarket replacement parts, not genuine Honda-branded components.
Materials and head style: The replacement bolts and nuts are stainless steel. Their appearance may differ from Honda’s original hardware.
When should you replace chain adjuster bolts?
- Corroded or damaged heads: Damaged adjusters can make routine chain adjustment difficult.
- Worn threads or seized nuts: Inspect both the hardware and swingarm threads before selecting replacements.
- Missing hardware: Both adjustment positions need the correct bolt and nut arrangement.
Replacement fixings cannot repair damaged swingarm threads, worn adjuster plates or a worn drive chain. Chain wear and alignment faults need separate attention.
Fitting and adjusting the chain
Support the motorcycle securely and follow Honda’s procedure for rear axle loosening, chain-slack measurement, rear wheel alignment and final tightening. Use Honda’s specified chain slack and tightening values for the exact model; do not guess them. The adjuster bolts position the wheel during adjustment and do not replace correct axle tightening.
Use anti-seize or other thread treatments only where specified. Once assembled, check chain slack through the required wheel positions, wheel alignment, fastener security and normal rear brake operation. Have damaged threads or uncertain adjustments checked by a qualified motorcycle technician.
For general thread-treatment guidance, read our guide to threadlocker and anti-seize on motorcycle bolts. Honda’s workshop procedure takes precedence.
