Carburettor top, funnel-setting plate and float-bowl screws for Honda CBR900RR SC28
This model-specific kit renews three groups of small fixings on the original four carburettors of the Honda CBR900RR (893) SC28 1992–1995: the carburettor tops, the funnel-setting plates and the float-bowl covers. These are not airbox screws, carburettor mounting clamps, jets or other internal carburettor parts.
What you receive
- 12x A2 (304) stainless steel screws for the carburettor top covers (original Honda reference 16080-MV4-000).
- 16x A2 (304) stainless steel screws for the funnel-setting plates (original Honda reference 93893-04014-07).
- 12x A2 (304) stainless steel screws for the float-bowl covers (original Honda reference 93892-05016-00).

40 replacement screws in total, divided between the three intended application groups. Carburettor bodies, top covers, funnel-setting plates, float bowls, gaskets, jets and seals are not included. Product photographs illustrate the fixing style; use the quantities above to identify the actual contents.
Original Honda part numbers this kit replaces
- 16080-MV4-000 – original Honda pan-head screw reference for carburettor top fixing positions; 12 corresponding aftermarket screws supplied.
- 93893-04014-07 – original Honda 4 x 14 mm screw-washer reference associated with the funnel-setting plates; 16 corresponding aftermarket screws supplied.
- 93892-05016-00 – original Honda 5 x 16 mm screw-washer reference associated with the float-bowl covers; 12 corresponding aftermarket screws supplied.
Model-specific aftermarket replacements: These Honda references identify original fixing positions, not genuine Honda parts supplied in the retail pack. The supplied screws are aftermarket A2 (304) stainless steel and their heads may differ from the originals. Keep each type separate and check the application, thread and head seating against the correct Honda workshop and parts information before fitting.
When should you replace carburettor top, funnel-plate or float-bowl screws?
- Rounded cross-head screws: Worn screw heads can make opening the top or float bowl difficult and increase the risk of damage.
- Corroded threads or seized hardware: Fasteners exposed to moisture and fuel vapour may be difficult to remove or reuse.
- During carburettor cleaning or rebuilding: Inspect the top-cover screws, funnel-setting plates and float-bowl fixings, along with the cover flanges and gasket seating surfaces.
Replacement screws will not repair stripped aluminium carburettor threads, a warped float-bowl rim, a cracked cover or a leaking gasket.
Model-specific OEM replacements: Biker Bling selects the supplied replacement fasteners and fittings for the carburettor top-cover, funnel-setting plate and float-bowl positions on the Honda CBR900RR (893) SC28 1992–1995, rather than supplying a generic assortment. The critical fitting dimensions match the original Honda fixings for those intended positions. These are aftermarket replacements, not genuine Honda-branded components.
Fitting carburettor top, funnel-plate and float-bowl screws
Carry out carburettor maintenance in a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources, and follow Honda’s fuel-system instructions for isolation, removal and refitting. Keep the carburettor interiors clean, seat gaskets correctly, start replacement threads by hand and avoid overtightening fragile castings. Do not guess torque settings. Our guide to protecting aluminium mounting threads and stainless steel motorcycle bolt fitting guide offer general fastener guidance, not fuel-system servicing instructions.
Before riding: After reassembly, inspect for fuel leaks, ensure throttle linkages and cables move freely and confirm normal engine operation. Do not ride if fuel leaks, the throttle sticks or a cover does not seal.
