Important fitment notes
- Compatibility: Designed for Honda VFR1200F model years 2014 and 2015 with the original front brake and hydraulic clutch reservoirs.
- Verify before installing: Check the exact model and reservoir caps, particularly if aftermarket master cylinders or reservoir lids have been fitted.
- Aftermarket parts: These are aftermarket replacement parts, not genuine Honda-branded components. The supplied fasteners are A2 (304) stainless steel.
- Exclusions: Reservoir caps, diaphragms, fluid and master cylinders are not included. This is not a banjo bolt, master cylinder clamp bolt or rear reservoir fixing kit.
Original Honda part number this kit replaces
- 93600-04012-0G – original front brake and clutch reservoir cap bolt (2x at each cap; 4x in total).
These numbers identify the original Honda components, not Biker Bling SKUs or genuine Honda parts supplied in this kit.
Model-specific aftermarket replacements: Biker Bling selects these bolts for the original front brake and hydraulic clutch reservoir cover positions. They are aftermarket replacement fasteners, not genuine Honda parts. Modified reservoir caps or master cylinders need their own application checks.
Head style and materials: All 4x supplied cap bolts are A2 (304) stainless steel. Their head appearance may differ from Honda’s original bolts; see the product photographs for the supplied style.
When should you replace the reservoir cap bolts?
- Worn bolt heads: Damaged drive recesses can make reservoir access difficult.
- Corroded or missing bolts: Inspect both cap fixings and the threaded holes.
- Reservoir servicing: Check the bolts and cap components whenever the lid is removed.
If a reservoir leaks, inspect the cap, diaphragm, sealing arrangement and fluid level. Replacement bolts alone will not repair damaged reservoir components.
Fitting the brake and clutch reservoir caps
- Keep dirt, cleaning products and fitting compounds out of the hydraulic fluid.
- Protect paintwork from spills.
- Seat the cap and diaphragm correctly and tighten the bolts evenly using Honda’s instructions.
- The included anti-seize pack is not an instruction to lubricate these bolts; follow the specified fitting procedure and check for leaks.
