These numbers identify the original Honda fixing positions, not Biker Bling product codes. The supplied kit contains aftermarket replacements, not genuine Honda parts. Year-specific references describe alternatives for their stated years, not additional supplied parts.
The top-yoke positions are separate from the two handlebar clamps. Other fasteners in the shared assembly diagram are outside this kit.
Model-specific aftermarket parts and head style: This model-specific pack is aftermarket A2 (304) stainless steel, not genuine Honda fasteners. The original bolts’ head or drive design may differ. Material grade alone does not establish mechanical strength equivalence for the steering clamps, so confirm each replacement specification independently.
When should you replace steering-yoke pinch bolts?
- Damaged or rounded heads: Worn recesses can prevent proper removal and tightening.
- Damaged or missing clamp bolts: Inspect both bolt and yoke threads and replace missing fixings with the correct grade.
- During fork alignment or maintenance: Inspect the yokes and pinch-bolt positions whenever fork legs have been removed or adjusted.
Replacement bolts cannot repair a cracked yoke, stripped clamp threads or a fork leg that cannot be held securely.
Model-specific OEM replacements: Biker Bling selects the supplied replacement fasteners and fittings for the upper steering-yoke fork-clamping positions on the Honda CBR900RR (893) SC28 1992–1995, rather than supplying a generic assortment. The critical fitting dimensions match the original Honda fixings for those intended positions. These are aftermarket replacements, not genuine Honda-branded components.
Fitting the top and bottom steering yoke bolts
Important: These are steering and suspension safety-critical fasteners. Support the motorcycle correctly and use Honda’s specific instructions for fork position, yoke assembly, bolt grade and tightening sequence; do not guess torque or use the bolts to pull a misaligned clamp into place. Our motorcycle bolt strength grades guide and stainless steel bolt fitting guide explain general considerations, but Honda’s workshop instructions take priority.
Before riding: Confirm both fork legs are held securely, the steering moves freely lock-to-lock and cables and hoses do not snag. If the clamp or threads are damaged or the original-to-replacement specification is uncertain, do not ride until professionally assessed.
Customer questions
Are handlebar clamp bolts included?
No. This kit covers the listed yoke fork-clamping positions only.
Where should I use the anti-seize compound?
Use it only where the relevant motorcycle or component instructions specify a suitable thread treatment. Inclusion of the pack is not an instruction to lubricate every fixing.
