Clip-on handlebar-to-fork clamping bolts
Renew the bolts securing the original left and right clip-on handlebars around the fork stanchions on the Honda CBR900RR (893) SC28 1992–1995. These are the handlebar clamps, not the bolts retaining the upper or lower steering yokes around the fork legs.
What you receive
- 2x A2 (304) stainless steel clip-on handlebar clamp bolts – one per side.
- 1x Biker Bling anti-seize compound pack (7 g)
Handlebars, fork legs, handlebar weights and the separate yoke pinch bolts are not included.
Photographs: Product images may show representative fasteners or fittings rather than every item supplied; the written quantities above define the pack.
Original Honda part numbers this kit replaces
- Honda’s 1992 and 1995 HANDLE PIPE/TOP BRIDGE / HANDLEBAR fiches list several pairs of different clamping fasteners, including 90100-MN8-910, 96300-08040-07 and 96600-08040-07. These are distinct original references and should not be treated as interchangeable or all attributed to the clip-on fixing.
- The exact OEM reference for the supplied clip-on replacement should be confirmed against the customer’s original clamp configuration; this pack is for 2x clip-on positions only.
Model-specific aftermarket parts and head style: These A2 (304) stainless steel bolts are aftermarket parts, not genuine Honda hardware. Their head or drive style may look different from the originals. Because these clamps affect steering control, confirm the replacement specification rather than assuming stainless material matches Honda’s original mechanical strength.
When should you replace clip-on clamp bolts?
- Worn or rounded drive recesses: Damage can prevent reliable removal or tightening of the original clamp.
- Corrosion or damaged threads: Inspect the bolt and handlebar clamp threads together; do not force a replacement.
- Loose or shifted clip-on: Inspect the clamp casting, fork surface and location, not just the fastening bolt.
New bolts will not correct a cracked or incorrectly seated handlebar clamp or damaged fork stanchion.
Model-specific OEM replacements: Biker Bling selects the supplied replacement fasteners and fittings for the original clip-on handlebar-to-fork clamp positions on the Honda CBR900RR (893) SC28 1992–1995, rather than supplying a generic assortment. The critical fitting dimensions match the original Honda fixings for those intended positions. These are aftermarket replacements, not genuine Honda-branded components.
Fitting the clip-on handlebars
Follow Honda’s workshop instructions for locating the handlebars correctly and tightening each clamp in the specified order. Confirm the bolt grade and design meet the original fixing requirements; do not guess torque. Our motorcycle bolt strength grades guide and stainless steel bolt fitting guide provide general guidance only.
Before riding: Turn the handlebars fully in both directions and verify secure clamps, free throttle return and no cable or brake-hose strain. Do not ride if a clamp moves or its fastener specification remains uncertain.
