Handlebar-end weight fixing bolts
These two bolts are for the original handlebar-end weight retaining positions, one at the left and one at the right handlebar on the Honda CBR900RR (893) SC28 1992–1995. They are not the handlebar-to-fork clip-on clamp bolts or steering-yoke pinch bolts.
What you receive
- 2x A2 (304) stainless steel bar-end retaining bolts – one for each handlebar.
- 1x Biker Bling anti-seize compound pack (7 g).
Handlebar weights, grips, internal expansion fittings and clip-on clamps are not included.

Original Honda fixing references
| Fitting position / component | Supplied quantity | Original Honda fixing reference |
|---|---|---|
| Left and right external handlebar end weights | 2x | 90191-MK4-000 |
These numbers identify the original Honda fixing positions, not Biker Bling product codes. The supplied kit contains aftermarket replacements, not genuine Honda parts. Year-specific references describe alternatives for their stated years, not additional supplied parts.
Model-specific aftermarket parts and head style: These are model-specific aftermarket stainless steel replacements, not genuine Honda parts. The bolt-head style or drive may differ from the original hardware. Confirm the original bar-end assembly and any captive internal fittings are sound; A2 (304) identifies the replacement material, not an assumed universal bolt.
When should you replace handlebar-end bolts?
- Rounded or corroded bolt heads: Damaged heads can prevent removing or securing the end weight correctly.
- Missing or loose hardware: A missing retaining bolt can allow a bar-end weight to move or detach.
- Damaged internal threads: Check the mating handlebar-weight or expansion fitting before simply substituting new bolts.
Replacement bolts cannot fix a damaged handlebar tube, missing expansion sleeve or badly worn bar-end weight.
Model-specific OEM replacements: Biker Bling selects the supplied replacement fasteners and fittings for the original handlebar-end weight retaining positions on the Honda CBR900RR (893) SC28 1992–1995, rather than supplying a generic assortment. The critical fitting dimensions match the original Honda fixings for those intended positions. These are aftermarket replacements, not genuine Honda-branded components.
Fitting bar-end retaining bolts
Check the correct left/right handlebar-end arrangement, insert the bolts into sound threads, and follow Honda’s fitting instructions for the original weight assembly. Do not use an overlength bolt or force damaged threads. See our stainless steel bolt fitting guide for general fastener advice.
Before riding: Confirm both bar-end weights are secure and neither obstructs throttle grip return or interferes with the brake and clutch controls. Turn the steering lock to lock and confirm all controls operate normally.
Customer questions
Are the handlebar weights supplied?
No. This kit supplies the external retaining bolts and the separate anti-seize pack. Existing weights and internal mountings must be sound.
Where should I use the anti-seize compound?
Use it only where the relevant motorcycle or component instructions specify a suitable thread treatment. Inclusion of the pack is not an instruction to lubricate every fixing.
For general background, read our threadlocker vs anti seize motorcycle bolts guide. Honda’s exact workshop procedure takes precedence.
