Front brake calliper joining bolts for Honda CBR900RR SC28
These fasteners join the two halves of the left and right original front brake callipers on the Honda CBR900RR (893) SC28 1992–1995. They are not the bolts mounting each calliper to its fork leg, the brake-disc bolts or hydraulic banjo bolts.
What you receive
- 8x A2 (304) stainless steel replacement front calliper joining bolts – 4x per calliper.
- 1x Biker Bling anti-seize compound pack (7 g).
Brake callipers, seals, brake pads and fork-mounting bolts are not included. Product photographs are illustrative and may not display all eight bolts at once.
Original Honda fixing references
| Fitting position / component | Supplied quantity | Original Honda fixing reference |
|---|---|---|
| Front calliper-half joining positions | 8x | 90107-KV3-701 |
These numbers identify the original Honda fixing positions, not Biker Bling product codes. The supplied kit contains aftermarket replacements, not genuine Honda parts. Year-specific references describe alternatives for their stated years, not additional supplied parts.
Head style and materials: The replacement bolts are A2 (304) stainless steel; their head or drive style may differ from Honda’s original Torx bolts. Material designation alone does not prove mechanical-strength or braking-system equivalence. Confirm the fastener specification for this safety-critical joining application before use.
When should you replace calliper joining bolts?
- Corroded or rounded heads: Worn drives can prevent reliable disassembly or tightening during brake maintenance.
- Damaged or missing bolts: Inspect the bolt and calliper’s threaded holes; missing bolts require the correct specification, not a convenient substitute.
- During professional calliper servicing: Inspect joining fasteners and joint sealing components whenever the calliper halves have been disturbed.
New joining bolts cannot repair cracked calliper castings, damaged threads, distorted joint faces or hydraulic seals.
Model-specific OEM replacements: Biker Bling selects the supplied replacement fasteners and fittings for the front brake calliper-half joining positions on the Honda CBR900RR (893) SC28 1992–1995, rather than supplying a generic assortment. The critical fitting dimensions match the original Honda fixings for those intended positions. These are aftermarket replacements, not genuine Honda-branded components.
Fitting the front calliper joining bolts
Important: These bolts join pressure-containing brake calliper halves. Do not split callipers or alter the joint unless you have the correct Honda workshop instructions and the competence to service hydraulic brakes. Confirm original-to-replacement mechanical suitability, joint seals, tightening order and manufacturer’s torque specifications; never guess values or assume A2 (304) is interchangeable with the original Honda grade.
Our motorcycle bolt strength grades guide and stainless steel bolt fitting guide provide general background only. Honda’s service manual and qualified brake-system guidance take precedence.
Before riding: Confirm the hydraulic system is properly assembled, bled where required and free of leaks, and that both front brakes work normally. If suitability, sealing or assembly is uncertain, stop and consult a qualified motorcycle technician.
Customer questions
Are these calliper-to-fork mounting bolts?
No. These fixings join the calliper halves. Use Honda’s exact service procedure for the fitted callipers.
Where should I use the anti-seize compound?
Use it only where the relevant motorcycle or component instructions specify a suitable thread treatment. Inclusion of the pack is not an instruction to lubricate every fixing.
